his listing is for a vintage Bates "Merit" Sax Chain saxophone neck strap. This strap features a true 'no-slip' design that actually works. Unfortunately the thin plastic neck band is rather uncomfortable, and the open hook a little 'iffy' in terms of safety for your horn. I have, however, heard of people modifying these by adding a modern Neoprene neck pad, and bending the hook so that it is harder to come off your strap ring. This strap is in good condition. There are no breaks in the chain, and the adjustment mechanism works properly. The plastic band has a bit of wear on the edges, and a prior owner wrote their initials on it. The strap comes in its original box.
