Why you should purchase this:
This is one of the most effective products for ant control and here's why. Most gel / liquid ant baits on the market will eliminate the ants too fast. Meaning when the ants ingest the bait, they typically die after 10-15 minutes. The whole purpose of eliminating an ant colony is to make sure the ants have time to bring the bait back to their colony. If the ants die too fast, they don't have the ability to bring the bait back to the colony.
The difference with Optigard ant gel is that while it will eliminate the ants, it works by killing the ants slower which gives them time to bring the gel bait back to the colony. In our experience with using this product, (along with all gel baits) it's important to note that you always want to dab a pea size amount in areas where you see ants. Doing so will attract the ants to the bait. Once the ants are attracted to the bait, dab a few more along the paths where you see ants and do not disturb the ants. They will signal other ants to come claim the bait to bring back to the colony.
