Flat copper wire is a copper wire with an electrically insulating lacquer coating. This wire has a thermal class of W200 and has a very high long-term heat resistance. Flat enamelled copper wire is thermally highly overloadable and chemically resistant as well as has excellent mechanical strength and very good abrasion resistance. Flat wire copper is double enamelled. The insulation consists of a modified polyesterimide with an additional coating of polyamideimide. The wire cannot be tinned.
