    Description

    Celestion G12H-75 Creamback 16 Ohm 75w 75hz
    - MADE IN ENGLAND!
New Guitar Speaker with late 1960's era Vintage Tone
    This newly manufactured
    guitar speaker
is in the original box from the manufacturer, which has never been opened:  New in box (NIB).  However, this is a new twist on a real Celestion 1960's era guitar speaker being manufactured by the OEM!

    History
The story begins with another one of our line of "new" vintage
    guitar speaker
    s, the
    G12M-65 Creamback
(see our eBay store for your desired Ohm).  Here is an
audio-visual comparison of the two (
    Celestion Creamback G12M-65 & G12H-75 - A/B Comparison
    )
    in a youtube video.
    The G12M-65 Creamback
was voiced to sound like the famous, classic, G12M Greenback (again see our eBay store for your desired Ohm) but with 4x the wattage.  This newer
    Celestion G12H-75 Creamback
speaker has even more wattage than the G12M-65, while maintaining that 60's British guitar tone.  This
    Celestion G12H-75 Creamback
speaker can take a higher input signal than the
G12M-65 Creamback.  So if you like to get tone out of your pedals, then you will prefer this more powerful of the Creambacks.
    Thick Magnet, Thick Tone
    - late 60's and 70's Classic Rock Tone
    This
    Celestion G12H-75 Creamback
is a more powerful Creamback.  It's
magnet would have been huge for the late 60's.  So would the wattage, compared to Celestions' other speakers of that era. If you are looking for old school vintage power - that unmistakable thick late 60's guitar tone that did not need so much distortion to sound powerful- then you are on the right track.  For more details about this guitar speaker, v

There, Celestion boasts the following (emphasis mine):
    ----
Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an
    'H' type
    (heavy) magnet
to the body of a G12M guitar speaker
. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. So
we added an 'H' magnet to the G12M-65 Creamback
, create a speaker that delivers the sonic signature of a G12H combined with Creamback levels of power handling. The result is the G12H-75 Creamback. It delivers 75-watts of power handling with ease and has unmistakeable G12H tone, with a tighter low end than the G12M-65 Creamback and a punchier, more dynamic high end. The H magnet brings additional focus,
body and girth to the Creamback tone.
It thickens single notes, resulting in a highly articulate, vocal character. These additional characteristics mean that the G12H-75 Creamback offers exceptional performance when used for lead guitar and
    sounds massive
    loaded into a 4x12 cab!

    Manufacturer Part Number: G12H-75
    Highlights
Same tone as the famous Greenback guitar speaker with with enhanced power handling
More low end grunt than the G12M Greenback
    16 ohm impedance
    Celestion G12H-75 Creamback 16 Ohm 12" Guitar Speaker 75W
The G12M Greenback is perhaps the definitive vintage Celestion ceramic magnet guitar speaker. Developed in the mid-sixties, it was quickly adopted by players like
    Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Page
, who typified the louder and more aggressive blues rock playing styles that came to characterize that era.
The Celstion G12H-75 Creamback produces the familiar woody G12M tone, but handles greater power making it ideally suited for today's amps, when a vintage tone is desired. The increased power handling brings with it low end grunt complementing the warm and vocal mid range, crunchy upper- mids and sweet, refined highs.

    Guitar Tone
    Guitar Tone Samples
Our aim is to ensure that the tone of our guitar speakers CAN match the tone expected by the guitar community. Jensen provides guitar tone samples for you to listen to before you purchase. Celestion is also now beginning to provide such guitar tone samples on their website as well. However, Celestion speakers are already famous for their tone. Typically, you begin your hunt for guitar tone samples on any guitar speaker's specifications page (see link above).
    Guitar Tone Skills
Any buyer who does not already know this product takes responsibility for: Finding, sampling, and recreating the tone they seek. This vintage guitar speaker is one of many important building blocks of your guitar tone: Including your (1) guitar playing ability, (2) your amp, (3) your guitar etc. This guitar speaker should give you the analog space that you need to let your true guitar tone shine. It will not make you play as well as the guitarists performing the guitar tone samples. Seriously, no bad feedback, returns, or issues in eBay over tone issues.
    Electric Guitar Tone
Celestion's website provides information on how to break in a guitar speaker. This should be done before using any guitar speaker. This ensures that the speaker provides true tone and proper function over time.
Talking Shop about Guitar Speaker Tone
Beyond all of these considerations, guitar speaker tone is also by nature a subjective criteria. Therefore we can make no promises in terms of communicating with you about it.
Due to these reasons and the liability constraints coming out of them, we cannot advise you about
    guitar speaker tone
    before
your purchase. We can only respond to factual inquiries about your purchase.
    Sales/Support on eBay
Per eBay's preference, consider all communication related to this sale(s) done here in the eBay system. Therefore, we will consider you to have communicated with us if you have done so from within the eBay system.  Please help us keep that communication as clear as possible to eBay staff.
