These tablets paired with a firesteel gives the most compact and ultimately reliable method for starting a fire.
These tablets can start fires in rain, wind, and snow. They are more versatile than any other type of fire starting tablet, paste, liquid, gas or solid. The reason for this versatility is that it can be shaped and molded onto anything to fit the situation that you are in. Each tablet will burn from 7-10 minutes. These can be soaked in water for days and still work like new for starting fires. More reliable than storm matches, waterproof matches and nato matches.
Each tablet can be pulled apart into smaller pieces for starting many many fires. I feel that this item paired with a reliable flint is
absolutely a must
for every survival kit from the smallest to largest.
